PixelEd Finds a New Home

In June 2008, we packed our bags and said goodbye to Upper Circular Rd, and hello to our grand new home in Singapore’s Arts and Heritage district at number 116 Sophia Road. Decked out with arched windows, high ceilings, open spaces, lots of natural light, and timber flooring, we think our new shophouse home is quite a stunner, and even more inspiring for our creative juices! We are conveniently located a brisk walk up the gentle hill from Peace Centre, and a short walk up the stairs and down the slope from Cathay/Plaza Singapura/Dhoby Ghaut MRT station.

New Website Revamp and Identity Launch

For PixelEd’s 3rd anniversary, we decided to re-brand ourselves to refresh our identity. Entering into the next phase of growth, we wanted our corporate identity to reflect our renewed vision and values, and our maturity as an agency, yet retain an edgy, dynamic, and fun vibe.

Wordpress as CMS

We now offer Wordpress as an option for a content management system (CMS). It is an efficient solution, especially for smaller website projects. The advantages of adopting Wordpress as a CMS are a very user-friendly interface, wide community support, high scalability (lots of room for expansion), and rapid development i.e. a solution that is more time and cost efficient for our clients! Using Wordpress as a framework, we have developed a system to make search engine optimization (SEO) more readily available for the benefit of our client’s businesses.

PixelEd Adopts 960 framework

PixelEd has adopted a 960 framework to streamline web development and workflow. Basically, most displays are now 1024×768 pixels, and 960 pixels is the perfect width for a design canvas that adheres to web user interface (UI) visual principles. The premise of the system is ideally suited to rapid prototyping, which makes churning out work faster, and more consistent. Our printable templates and web design layouts have identical measurements, which makes life much easier for users.
